Group therapy for violent men (virtual meetings)
The groups are offered in collaboration with partners specializing in violence, and are made up of men from various regions of Quebec.
These group meetings help you:
- Stop your impulsive or violent behaviour;
- Learn to see yourself through, defuse escalations and avoid relapses;
- Develop alternatives to your violence and make choices;
- Better identify what you’re going through and be able to assert yourself in a healthy way;
- Share with other men in similar situations and find solutions together.
Group therapy aims to:
- Break down beliefs that justify violent behavior;
- Take responsibility for violent behaviour;
- Break isolation;
- Develop communication and self-talk skills;
- Develop the ability to solve problems without violence;
- Increase self-esteem;
- Learn to express feelings in front of others in the same situation;
