Helping Others in Our Community
Beacons are volunteers who have been specifically trained to help people in distress in our local community. They familiarize themselves with the support services that exist here in the Pontiac and Outaouais, learn the tools that help maintain positive mental health, and use their caring and empathetic listening skills to help others. Pathfinders contribute to the well-being of our community by sharing this information with family and community, and together they form a support network that helps individuals increase their coping skills and resilience when faced with times of distress.
Our Goals
- Help individuals and communities adapt to the post-pandemic reality
- Promote collective resilience and foster a culture of kindness
- Promote community resources and activities
- Mobilize the population, strengthen the social fabric and promote caring relationships
- Reaching the general population
